The very first painting workshop for 2026 kicks off very soon, starting with a wonderful 5 day ‘Nature Studies’ event on the GOLD COAST QLD, marking the start of a full and exciting painting workshop year ahead for 2026. If youre keen to explore your creative side and want to learn more about realistic watercolour painting, based around nature as our inspiration, I invite you to join me! Today though, I am very excited to announce a brand new workshop in a brand new location! For a decade, youve been urging me to visit Adelaide for a painting workshop, and now its happening. Artable is my host, making a reliable collaboration from event planning and management to a rock solid learning opportunity as we enjoy 3 days together in gorgeous Adelaide, SA.
The workshop will look at all my techniques, approaches, principals and processes, as well as materials – and anything else you want to pick my creative brain over, for a personal, deep dive into this wonderful craft. Getting you on a solid foundation and direction for your own painting path is the goal, and here, we leap into a whole new level of very real and practical guidance under my wing.
Our focus for this workshop is to create a small bird painting with a botanical element, to capture a complete natural history bird study in realistic watercolour. The exact subjects are yet to be decided, but whatever we rest upon, will bring SO much to your table for learning and enjoyment. So, lets jump into our year, in hot pursuit of the things you love and aspire to. I hope to see you there!
