‘Silvereye and Eucalyptus’ is a 15×15 bird painting rendered in watercolour, and now joins my current series of bird studies at this size. These are sweet little paintings featuring some of our most favourite and beautiful Australian plant and bird subjects.
Of course the tiny Silvereye is well known to many of us, often seen flitting through the tree tips, twittering with delight as they go. The eucalyptus needs no introduction, celebrated far and wide for its spectacular beauty and rightly so! These two subjects coming together are a wonderful combination for this artwork and I am very happy to share it with you here.
