‘Australian Ringneck Parrot and Eucalyptus caesia’ is a 10 x 14 inch watercolour painting commissioned as a pair to the Crimson Rosella and Flowering Gum illustration I recently created. This one was all about colour, emotion and Western Australia. It took a while to settle on one of the 3 directions presented to my client, but we finally settled on this wonderful combination to bring to life. Plenty of challenges came with it of course, but thats right up my alley and I thoroughly enjoyed the process of weaving this one together. It will fly away to its new home now, to be enjoyed for many many maaany years to come and thats such a wonderful part of my work.
