‘Scarlet Honeyeater and Grevillea’ – Watercolour – 20×20-cms – AVAILABLE

‘Scarlet Honeyeater and Grevillea’ is a study in watercolour, this time working a little larger than my popular series of square bird studies which are usually 15x15cms in size. It has been lovely working a little larger, capturing more of the story of these wonderful grevillea flowers tumbling through the scene… as they do! Marj Kibby allowed me to work from here Scarlet Honeyeater image which I developed throughout a fabulous Small Bird Illustration Workshop last month, then I developed it further once I returned to my studio once again. It was worthy of the extra attention and it has become a really beautiful story. You can see more on this over in my Blog Post on its creation.
