We have just returned home from our amazing Tasmanian painting retreat, and I am back in my studio catching up again after such a wonderful time away working with you all. How spoiled we were to be painting in such beautiful places, and with such lovely company too. I wanted to share some of the experience with you here, and to give you a little idea of what we get up to on our painting events.

These retreats are about so much more than the painting. We do spend a lot of time in the studio, learning a lot about painting, field work, reference collecting & observation along with it, but its also a real circuit breaker from our constant demands, life chatter and its busyness. Its about reconnecting to nature, community and self. Along with that friendships new and old are formed which is a really beautiful part of these experiences… and its about rest & renewal, feeding hearts, souls and bellies as I like to say.

Thank you to my fabulous students, to Artable Studio for hosting us and to my photographers Andrew Haysom and Bruce Thomson for allowing us to work from their images for this Tasmanian painting retreat event.

If youd like to join us, we have just pencilled another retreat coming up in Tasmania this September, so get in touch with Artable on the link above to secure your spot and Ill see you there next time around.
