Azure Kingfisher and Waterlilies – Painting in Watercolour – SOLD
Azure Kingfisher and Waterlilies is the latest addition to my popular 15×15 cm series, a captivating study of life and beauty at the water’s edge. This piece also brings together two recent watercolour subjects we’ve been exploring in my Patreon lessons: the striking Azure Kingfisher and the delicate Blue Waterlily.
Each of these subjects was taught as a standalone, online painting tutorial, offering an in-depth look at rendering these delightful subjects in watercolour. However, Ive structured them with a fantastic opportunity to combine them as well so you can explore the early stages of simple, multi element composition. Taking my own study further, I developed a more intricate and dynamic composition (one designed as an original work thats not for copying) adding this new and richly detailed piece to my miniature series.
With its vibrant colours and serene presence, this painting is both uplifting and immersive to observe, and soooo much better in the flesh I must say! Now its complete, it will make its way to its new home, where I know it will be cherished by its new owner for many years to come.
