A series of little, highly sentimental commissions have been created for my lovely client, and these have been such a joy to work on with her. Each draws from her favourite moments, experiences, sentimental memories and subjects throughout her life. Each is so unique, captured in this wonderful watercolour series. Measuring 11x18cms, the Canada Jay is the next to join this series. I love the softness of the bird, coupled with the vivid electric greens of the woodland surrounds. Again, working on this piece was just fabulous, creating a completely unique painting from the visions of another. This is the beauty of commissions, stepping outside of yourself occasionally to think of entirely new things! I hope youll enjoy this piece with me here.
