Female Scarlet Robin and Tibouchina is watercolour miniature measuring just 5×5 inches in size. This uses a particularly interesting and unusual palette of scarlets, reds, pinks, greens and intense purples. Painting the intricate structure of the flowers brought plenty of challenge to this work, shifting trough colours, texture and form with consistency whilst working around and preserving each important detail. This is a painting that I have really enjoyed creating and an end product that I love has resulted
