The Grafton NSW 5 day watercolour painting workshop ‘Fruit, Vegetables and Bugs’ is on again and runs from Sunday, 15 April 2018 to Thursday, 19 April 2018 – BOOKINGS OPEN NOW!
Bookings are being taken now for 2018’s 5 day painting workshop at Fay Boyd’s Art School in Grafton NSW. This intensive course runs in April next year and is already booking out quickly so if you would like to join me, its really best not to delay… This workshops focus will be on the essential watercolour painting techniques necessary to create a series of beautiful fruit and vegetable illustrations, as well as a day exploring insects, a favourite complimentary element of this work.
My classes always have a strong focus on the watercolour medium in general, because when we understand the medium, we can apply these skills to any subject you choose. We will explore washes, glazes and dry brushing to help your work progress and to find the best way forward for you as an individual artist. Botanical painting is such a beautiful genre to work in, and its an especially ideal choice for anyone who feels they have a natural tendency for detailed work. I know that many of you will identify with this sense, and I am always one to say ‘go with it!’
The Grafton week is not only a wonderful opportunity to come along and improve your painting skills, it is also a fabulously social week in a truly gorgeous town. Its a place where you can come to unplug from your usual routine and connect with other artists, students and so many like minded people, or just to rest. Its always a week of fun and so many richnesses… just the remedy for so many people!
So I invite you to give this opportunity some thought and please let Fay know if youd like to join us. Wed love to see you there! Happy painting all
