I am very excited and pleased to announce that my 5 Day Watercolour Masterclass (insect and botanical illustration + bird painting) for 2017 in Grafton NSW, Australia is now open for bookings. It runs from April 8 to 12 inclusive and its always a jam packed, relaxed week of fun and learning.
This intensive workshop offers a unique opportunity for participants to view demonstrations, to learn from valuable step by step tuition, and to be guided through the process with support and essential hands on learning. My classes focus on a range of Natural History elements from insects to small bird painting, and of course, botanical illustration. All elements on the flyer are taken from workshops and are classic examples of what we will be working on. Each focus area we explore will allow you to build and improve essential watercolour techniques, such as working with washes, the more complex process of glazing (or layers of wash) and the intricate art of dry brushing; the foundations to managing this medium well. Through this we will build a sound understanding and love of watercolour, and of this genre. We will establish valuable strategies for achieving successful outcomes and find a new level of confidence in your work together, ultimately establishing the footholds for independent learning and painting.
As many of you know, opportunities to join my classes are few, places are limited and they fill very fast. This is the only opening remaining workshops open for the year (or more) ahead. Artists with any level of experience are welcome in this workshop, so come along and enjoy learning more about this wonderful art form and medium ! Contact Fay Boyd for more information, or email her directly at firstname.lastname@example.org I hope to see you there!
